[Here for a tattoo ticket or a non-traditional medium like custom tees or fashion? Please refer to the BOTTOM of this section for information on those. All Terms & Conditions, as well as my hourly rate and policies, apply.]

Here's a basic rundown of my STARTING prices. Prices can vary depending on the details, complexity of designs, and number of characters. Please refer to my "portfolio" and "projects" pages for references of my stylization and techniques. I do have traditional and digital commissions available!

My hourly rate starts at 30USD and can increase depending on medium and tools used, the complexity of the design (how long it takes me to create it), as well as the quality and quantity of references given upon payment (how long it takes me to research the design).

These prices reflect the STARTING PRICE, and is increased to accommodate the supplies used in addition to the policies described above and below. (Ex: a digital inked bust drawing will be $30 pending details, but a traditional inked bust drawing will be $30+cost of supplies used.)

Below prices are estimates and will vary for each request. The easiest way for me to give you an accurate estimate is for you to link me something that I've already made (refer to any social media, as well as any drawing included in this website) that is in the style you want. Additionally, giving visual references and short descriptions are key to providing an accurate quote.

terms & conditions

BEFORE SUBMITTING A REQUEST, PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, AS WELL AS FILLING OUT A REQUEST FORM USING THE GUIDE DESCRIBED AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE. I WILL NOT RESPOND TO REQUESTS THAT DO NOT COMPLY TO EITHER REQUIREMENT.

By commissioning me in any way, you acknowledge and agree to all terms below, unless otherwise discussed in private conversation during the commission process. Exceptions or elaboration to any terms below will be added in brackets.

I. General Terms

  1. Please write in a clear and appropriate manner when messaging.

  2. Provide clear references when requested and/or a detailed list of what the character[s] physical description is.

  3. Inappropriate and discriminatory behavior will NOT be tolerated, and your commission will be cancelled if that occurs. Should the finished piece be used to marginalize, discriminate, or attack anyone, I retain the right to ask the client to remove this piece from that platform and will contact that platform if the client refuses to comply.

  4. Absolutely no refunds for commissions will be given unless the commission has not yet been started or otherwise stated in private communication by the artist and the artist alone. If I, the artist, have forgotten to include details that have been previously documented in the request and you would like me to include them, I will do my best to do so. Details described AFTER initial payment may be subject to changes in commission price.

  5. I, the artist, have the right to decline or cancel a commission for any reason, and am not required to document or state that reason.

  6. Commission prices are subject to change, but price changes will NOT apply for clients who are in the work queue for a commission and who have made their request prior to said change.

  7. Clients MUST state whether or not their commission will be used solely for personal use, or if they intend to use it commercially and potentially profit off of that work. Commercial work will ALWAYS require an additional fee or royalties.

  8. The client may not resell my artwork, use it commercially, or use it for promotion of any commercial project or product, unless otherwise discussed in private conversation prior to starting the commission.

  9. If commercial use has been agreed on, the rights to use this design commercially will transfer to the client upon receipt of the full payment for both the work and the commercial rights.

  10. If a client requests a commission with a deadline, rush fees will be applied according to work queue and detail complexity.

  11. I, the artist, retain the right to post this work to Instagram, Youtube, Tiktok, Pinterest, and any other site or social media. These will include the product, live streams, timelapses, and any reference images the client has provided.

  12. The client may use these commissions to practice lines and coloring when credit is given and when we have agreed upon this usage. You may not claim my artwork as your own, trace, or heavily reference [as determined by the artist] my work and claim it as your own.

  13. My signature may not be removed by any commissions for any reason.

  14. I, the artist, will not start a commission until I have received any requested references. A minimum of half payment is required for any projects over 100USD. Commissions under 100USD must be paid in full before I can start.

  15. Full payment is due upon completion of the commission. The commission will be delivered to the client upon obtainment of the final 50% of payment. Failure to deliver the remaining half of payment within 14 days of completion will result in a 20% late fee to the entire cost of the commission. [Ex: A 100USD commission that has been completed, but has not received the other 50USD, will be charged 20USD in addition to the other 50USD on the 14th day of non-payment.]

  16. Finished work will be sent as the requested file type [digital art] or as a scan [traditional art]. The client may request to own the physical copy of their traditional art, and shipping costs will be added to the total commission price. Additionally, clients may request a print version of their digital or traditional piece, and shipping AND production costs will be added to the total commission price.

  17. Full size, un-watermarked files will ONLY be sent after receiving the full payment. Only watermarked screencaps will be sent for approval before full payment is received.

  18. Extra costs may be charged for any major changes to the concept agreed upon after half/full payment of the commission has been received.

  19. If for any reason I am unable to finish a commission, I will offer the extent of the work I have completed for the price that it would have cost, with a refund for the remainder of the cost of the work not completed.

  20. Confirmation on concepts and approval to continue will be taken only from the individual who has submitted a request and initial payment for the commission. If any third party is involved in approving this commission, it should be conveyed through this individual.

  21. Upon completion of the commission, I will send the requested file[s] or physical piece[s]. Once received, this file[s] or physical piece[s] is the responsibility of the commissioner and the commissioner alone. While I do my best to keep digital copies of completed commission files, I am not responsible for replacing or resending files should they be lost, nor am I responsible for recreating a lost piece. It is STRONGLY recommended for the client to back up the file[s] or physical piece[s] once received. Should the client request for a backup file, additional fees may apply.

  22. If a client requests work with references of designs [be that characters or worldbuilding], they take sole responsibility for any issues, legal or otherwise, that may arise from this.

  23. All work is custom to order.

  24. If the client is a minor, they MUST receive a parent or guardian's permission to request a commission. By commissioning me, you are agreeing that you received permission from your legal guardians to do so!

II. Payment

  1. For all commissions priced 100USD and above, 50% payment is required within 48 hours of receiving their invoice. For all commissions priced below 100USD, 100% payment is required within 48 hours of receiving their invoice. NO EXCEPTIONS ALLOWED. Failure to pay the required amount will result in that client losing their position in the work queue and a contact by the artist. If no payment is made 24 hours after this notice by the artist, then that commission will be cancelled.

  2. My accepted currency is USD (US Dollars) ONLY.

  3. Payment will be made via PayPal and platform fees for goods and services will be applied to the commission cost.

III. Process Overview

  1. The client will please contact me through this website, by email, or via DM. The client will specify any time requirements at the time of placing this request.

  2. The client will provide a brief description of the character's physical appearance (eye color, hair color, scars, tattoos, unique attributes). The client will also specify any clothing, props, pets, etc. that should be included.

  3. If possible, the client must provide references, as this makes the process much faster and allows for more accurate communication between the client and artist. Acceptable references include: photos, drawings, video clips, mood boards, or a collection of images that may help the client communicate what they specifically want in their commission.

  4. Once the commission is accepted, I will send a PayPal invoice to the email provided. Once payment is confirmed, I will add you to my current work queue and begin work on the commission once that client's turn is up. I will communicate with the client when I have begun working on their commission.

  5. Sketch phase: I will discuss the character's basic design and provide a sample of rough sketches to have a conversation with the client about potential posing and design. The client may make any drastic changes at this phase, and the client will suggest edits until the design is approved. Each commission includes THREE major design changes in the sketch phase for free, and any additional major design changes will accrue a reasonable fee. Major design changes following this stage are not allowed without a significant fee.

  6. Inking phase: once the sketch is approved, I will begin inking the sketch. During this phase, I will send another copy for the client to approve. Only MINOR edits can be suggested at this time, subject to medium (traditional or digital). Any large design edits are subject to additional fees [20% of the full price of the commission per change, be that posing, expression, outfit, background, props, or as dictated by the artist].

  7. Color phase (if applicable): after the inked drawing is approved, I will work on flat colors, highlights, shadows, and details. The final, full-size, unwatermarked copy will be sent after completion AND confirmation of full payment. For digital mediums: if the client wants multiple color variations, there will be additional fees per color variation, pending the complexity of the design. All fees must be collected before the client receives their final file or product. I contain the right to decline any color variation request.

  8. Once the commission is completed, I will send an email with the final file to the client's preferred email. If the client would prefer a physical copy, additional fees for shipping will be added. If the client would prefer a physical copy of their digital commission, additional fees for production and shipping will be added.

  9. Layered files are not allowed. Only single layer files will be distributed.

  10. Commissions may take several weeks to several months for completion depending on the complexity of the request, number of current clients, place in queue, number of edits, and life circumstances. There is no estimated time of completion unless a timeline has been established by the client, pending rush fees.

  11. This website will contain a page for the Work Queue of my clients, where clients can check their status. I will personally contact the client in the case of further delays or questions. Personal updates are not guaranteed.

IV. Copyright/Usage Policy

  1. I, the artist, hold every right to the produced drawing, NOT the client. This means I am allowed to:

    1. Promote myself using the drawing

    2. Display the drawing on any social media platform

    3. Display the drawing in any location I choose

  2. The client may use the product for:

    1. Personal use ONLY unless otherwise agreed to

    2. Printing the art and claiming the right of the character[s], but not the art itself

    3. Sharing the art on their social media pages and/or using the art to promote themselves with PROPER CREDIT to the artist

  3. Breaking copyright infringement is subject to every right of the client in regards to the commission being retracted.

  4. The following is considered copyright infringement:

    1. Reproducing or using the artwork commercially

    2. Taking credit for the creation of the artwork

    3. Removing watermarks or signatures

    4. Altering the artwork without my, the artist's, written consent

  5. A purchase of commercial rights to the artwork will ALWAYS be 300% of the original price in addition to a tangible invoice of that purchase. With commercial rights, the client is allowed to make merchandise with the artwork, use it in books, covers, props, to make changes, and to promote their own brand with credit being required for usage of the artwork, even if altered or edited.

  6. At no time is the client allowed to reproduce or display my art without proper credit, even if commercial rights have been transferred over.

V. Customer Satisfaction and Cancelation/Refund Policies

  1. I, the artist, will do everything within my power to make my clients satisfied with their commission.

  2. Changes may NOT be made after the work is complete and the client has received their full-quality files via email.

  3. I ask that the client be clear with their request from the beginning to avoid major issues, to streamline the creation process, and to minimize any fees placed upon the client.

  4. The client may ONLY request a full refund if they have submitted payment but are still in the work queue (have not been started on yet). If a cancellation is made in the sketch phase, then the artist will only refund 80% of the total price of the commission or 30% of the total price paid if only half payment has been received. [I.E., a 100USD commission will receive 80USD if paid in full, or 30USD if 50USD was paid upon request approval.] The remaining 20% will thereafter serve as a cancellation fee for lost time and labor.

  5. No refunds are given following the sketch phase.

  6. Clients MUST allow time for refunds to be processed through their bank. PayPal may confirm a refund, but it can take an additional several business days to be deposited into the bank.

  7. If payment has not been made, the client has full rights to cancel the commission.

  8. If a chargeback is successfully filed against me, Juliauna Meyer (also known as Shadooga or Tatorutaruto), the client's right to everything I have ever made for them will be retracted and I will have the right to sell that copyrighted artwork to new buyers. The client will thereafter be forbidden to commission me ever again.

  9. Clients that file a chargeback will also have a PSA posted by me, the artist, alerting other artists to not work with that client in order to prevent scams. Any and all conversations with that client will no longer be subject to privacy.

  10. All client conversations may be saved for potential chargeback prevention.

Any statement listed above is subject to change upon written consent as discussed with me, the artist, prior to the commission.

By commissioning me, you are stating that you have read, understand, and agree to these terms of service.
